Highland Light Painting #8
2018
Archival Pigment Print
21"x28"; Edition of 6
Provincetown and the Outer Cape have a long history of painting. The artist's colony there is over 100 years old - perhaps the oldest in the U.S.
As with such places, there are certain subjects or motifs that are painted hundreds of times over the years by many artists. This second group in the series is based on the Highland Lighthouse in Truro.
Again, using a search engine to look for "Highland Light Paintings" on the Web, I have hyper-enlarged the found images of other artists' paintings resulting in highly pixilated images. All are largely unchanged, though I have adjusted color at times. There are ten images in the series.
